A two day seminar was held by the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology on Human Remains in Physical Anthropological Collections: History, Biomedical, Legal and Ethical  Perspective. This was a seminar of the International collaboration between Indonesia and the Netherlands on sites, bodies, and stories: the dynamics of heritage formation in colonial and postcolonial Indonesia and the Netherlands. The Eijkman Institute invited speakers experts on this issue from local and overseas institutions, such as Nerderlands Instituut voor Oorlogsdocumentatle, Tropenmueseum, and KITLV. Dr. Claudia Surjadjaja, representing ALERTAsia Foundation was also invited to participate in this seminar as one of the speakers with Ethical Issues on Human Remains as the topic she presented.
