FETP Secretariat organized a meeting on FETP Intermediate Training on 24 April 2019 in Surabaya. The pilot project of FETP-Intermediate will be implemented in East Java this year. The meeting held as effort to inform the decision makers the importance of FETP Intermediate training for the districts health officials, particularly in diseases prevention and control.

The FETP Intermediate training will be started on 29 April and ended in November 2019 in Public Health Training Center Munarjati, Kampus Bendul, Merisi Surabaya and on each of participants’ working location.
 
Support from the Health Office of East Java
At the meeting, the Health Office of East Java agreed to support the implementation of FETP Intermediate, and the District Health Office agreed to send 15 staffs to join the training. These staffs will be coming from 15 districts health offices all over East Java, consist of: Health Office of Kota Surabaya, Kab. Sumenep, Kab. Kediri, Kab. Jombang, Kab. Bojonegoro, Kab. Tulungagung, Kab. Bondowoso, Kab. Tuban, Kab. Situbondo, Kab. Malang, Kab. Pamekasan, Kab. Magetan, Kab. Banyuwangi, Kab. Ngawi, Mojokerto
Furthermore, District Human Resource Agency (Badan Kepegawaian Daerah – BKD) agreed not to move the staffs who have been trained minimum 2 years after the training

This advocacy meeting attended by 68 participants from Provincial and District Health Office of East Java, Provincial Human Resource Agency of East Java, Technical Implementation Unit (Unit Pelaksana Teknis - UPT) of Munarjati, CDC Indonesia, and FETP Secretariat.
