As a follow up to previous trainings, FETP Secretariat Indonesia organized the fourth in-class FETP Intermediate training on 16 – 20 September 2019 at the at the Public Training Center of Munarjati, Kampus Bendul Merisi, Surabaya.

This series of trainings is designed as a forum to develop the competencies of the health ofiicers in preventing, detecting, investigating and responding to any potential outbreak diseases. However, unlike the previous three training, in-class 4 focused to improve communication skill, data management and research.

15 surveillance officers from 15 different districts in East Java who have joined three previous events have attended the 4th in-class training. After completing the training, they expected to conduct four steps of field work for 6 weeks, starting 23 September to 2 November 2019 in their own working areas. Field supervisors are allowed to supervised them twice during that time.

The participants may report their results of work at the fifth in-class training, which plan to be organized on 4 – 7 November 2019.
